Criterion only gave it a 2K transfer, and according to imdb, was rendered only in 2K for its theatrical run. Odds of a 4K remaster seem slim to me. I also felt like despite the hotel as the main set piece, they too frequently left the hotel, and some of the movie's most climactic scenes took place not in the hotel.
